WHAT IS A SERVICE CONTRACT?

An Icon Septech service contract gives the customer quarterly servicing which is mandatory requirement by the Council and EPA

.

Each service includes but is not limited to:

• Filter clean (if applicable)

• Lids on the treatment plant and pump well turned over & examine for imperfections in line with OH&S regulations

• Effluent quality checks

• Depth of water checks

• Sludge level checks

• Pump operation checks

• Upper and lower manifold checks

• Upper and lower manifold hose checks

• Vortex line inspection

• Setting polarities and adjustments on the system’s control panel in accordance to how the system is presently running

• Removal of tree roots present in the treatment plant & pumpwell

• Identify issues critical to its performance

• Offer solutions for adjustments, alterations or replacements

• Provide the owner and local council a service report as per EPA and Council regulations.

All are inclusive in the service but each service is specific to the individual system and is dependant on what the service technician finds upon arrival at the property, which can incur additional charges for labour and parts required. With every service, we examine your system in detail, improve its performance, identify any potential problems, and keep you up to date with what we find.

Civilmart Icon-Septech service contracts are designed to ensure the optimal operation of your wastewater treatment plant. Experience shows that our service contracts with regular monitoring will ensure that the output of water quality is safe and your well-being is assured. 

 

Programmed maintenance services are generally performed quarterly depending on your system. The service includes checking the biological processes and componentry of your system. During servicing, a qualified and accredited service technician will fine-tune plant settings, check components, and replace consumables when required. Backed by digital control panels, our smart technology diagnoses problems quickly, usually before you notice there’s a potential issue.

 

To minimize inconvenience, we recommend committing to an annual service contract. The service contract will provide consistent performance from the treatment plant, as well as compliance with all warranty and local government regulations.

We also take the worry out of reporting your system’s service by sending your results directly to your local council or authority. We're passionate about wastewater and are specialists in servicing all makes and models of domestic and commercial wastewater systems to keep them fine-tuned and in perfect working order.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR SYSTEM

DO'S

1.

DO ensure your system is commissioned by an accredited Icon Septech service technician

2.

DO ensure your system is serviced quarterly by an accredited Icon Septech service technician

3.

DO observe the advice contained here within in order to minimise the frequency of desludging of the primary treatment tank. Desludging will vary from 1 to 3 years (similar to a septic tank system) depending on use and maintenance treatment of the system, poor quality effluent or odour problems may indicate this is necessary

4.

DO look for gentle biodegradable products and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Remember that pure soap flakes are 100% biodegradable. Excellent biodegradable products are also available from supermarkets, health food shops and specialty outlets

5.

DO check and clean your irrigation filter monthly (if applicable)

6.

DO use cleaning products in MODERATION, and ones that are labelled as ‘biodegradable’, ‘septic-safe’ and/or are labelled low in phosphorus

DO reduce the amount of oils and fats that enter the system

DO plant suitable shrubs and ground cover near your system

DO NOT'S

1.

DO NOT drive any vehicles (cars, trucks, tractors) within 3m of the access lids or within 6m of the irrigation field. (Small ride on lawn mowers are acceptable over subsurface irrigation systems)

2.

DO NOT allow livestock to graze on top of the irrigation field

3.

DO NOT allow humans or animals to consume the treated effluent from domestic wastewater treatment systems.

4.

DO NOT irrigate vegetables or fruit with the treated effluent

5.

DO NOT turn off the power to your system

6.

DO NOT allow the following materials to enter your system: bleaching agents or antibacterial products; paint; petroleum products or other solvents; strong alkaline and acid; solid materials such as paper, plastic, sanitary napkins, tampons, condoms, food scraps, nappies or nappy liners; insecticides, herbicides or pesticides; or unused medicines

7.

DO NOT use excess cleaners or detergents - give cleaning products more time to work - use better cleaning tools, e.g. long handled scrubbing brushes

FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS MAY SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSE BLOCKAGE TO THE PUMPS OR JETS AND NECESSITATE A SERVICE CHARGE!
